Your vote matters! The first step in voting in the June 9 Primary Election is making sure you’re registered. Standard voter registration by mail or in person closes Tuesday, May 12. Nevada also offers same-day voter registration during early voting and on Election Day for eligible voters with a valid Nevada driver’s license or Nevada ID card.

  • Voter Registration: If you have a current Nevada driver’s license or Nevada ID card, you can register or update your information through Nevada Online Voter Registration. For more information on how to register, visit the Nevada Secretary of State voter registration page. If you plan to vote in the June 9 primary, make sure your party affiliation is current before the registration deadline on May 12.
  • Nevada has a closed primary. Voters registered with a major political party may vote in that party’s primary, while voters registered as nonpartisan or with a minor party may vote only in nonpartisan contests. Use Nevada’s Voter Registration Search to confirm your registration information and review your voter record.
  • What’s on my Ballot: Depending on where you live, the June 9 primary ballot may include congressional, statewide, legislative, Board of Regents, judicial and local candidates for office. Check with your local election office through the County Clerk Contact Information page for voting information and ballot details specific to your community.
  • Early Voting: Early voting runs from Saturday, May 23, through Friday, June 5. Early voting locations and hours vary by county, so check hours and location with your local election office.
  • Vote-by-Mail: Nevada mails a ballot to every registered voter, so it is important to ensure your voter registration information and address are up to date. For more information, visit the Mail Ballot Voting page.
  • Voting on Election Day: You can vote in-person on Election Day, Tuesday, June 9. Nevada also allows in-person same-day registration on Election Day. Voters using same-day registration must present a valid Nevada driver’s license or Nevada ID card.

The next step is planning when and how you’ll vote. For a full list of key dates, visit Nevada’s 2026 Election Information page.

Don’t forget to mark your calendar: Nevada’s General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 3. The standard voter registration deadline for that election is Tuesday, October 6.
