Each year, HCA Healthcare partners with local law enforcement to host “Crush the Crisis,” a national prescription drug take back event held in alignment with the DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. Since 2019, HCA Healthcare has helped safely dispose of more than 88,000 pounds of unused or expired medication. The program gives community members a safe, anonymous way to dispose of medications, helping reduce the risk of prescription drug misuse in the communities HCA Healthcare serves.
