Amnesty in Drug-Related ER Visits


HB 965 passed — providing “amnesty” in drug overdose cases, allowing someone to transport a person to the emergency room without facing arrest.

Language also passed allowing EMTs and others to carry and administer opioid antagonists that are designed to counter some drug overdoses.
