Alaska’s 2022 General Election will take place on November 8. All active, registered Alaska voters are eligible to vote in the general election.
There are three ways to vote: by mail (absentee), early voting, or Election Day.
To vote by mail, you must request an absentee ballot through your state’s Division of Elections website. The deadline to submit a request is October 29. You can return your ballot via mail or at a designated drop-box location. Your ballot must be returned and received by November 8 (Election Day) – and remember to sign the ballot envelope! You can track the status of your absentee ballot online.
Most early voting locations will open the week of October 24 and remain open through Election Day. You can find nearby early voting locations by visiting your Division of Elections website.
Prefer to vote on Election Day? You will need to visit your designated precinct, which can be found by visiting your Division of Elections website. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and voters must bring a current and valid ID with signature. Any voters waiting in line at 8 p.m. will still have a chance to cast their ballots.
